DIY Brooch Bouquets

It all started with my quest for a non-flower alternative bouquet. While I was getting quotes from florists for my entourage flowers, I was appalled at how expensive they can be, and to think they’ll all eventually wilt and be thrown away! I wanted something I can keep for years and maybe pass on to my children (tee hee!). My late grandmother loved flowers so much, and I was guilty for not wanting _real_ ones. Well I know she’ll be amazed if she sees this:

Bouquet for the bride made of blue and green flower brooches. Some butterflies and a frog to add interest.

I attached 20-gauge wires to the pins at the back to form the stem. This is my lame attempt on a rounded hand-tied bouquet or nosegay. My amazingly creative florist cousin Cyril Quinto has graciously offered to arrange all the flower brooches! I am so thankful to have a family of artists. :D

I just bunched them together and marveled at how pretty they are! I can’t help myself from starting at it. It amazes me that everytime I look at it I see something different.

This bouquet is soooo heavy. Need some arm muscles to hold on to this throughout the wedding. When it gets arranged into a proper bouquet I’m sure it will get a bit smaller.

Vintage enamel flower brooches for 2 mothers, 1 maid of honor, 3 secondary sponsors, 3 bridesmaids.

I started collecting vintage enamel brooches from eBay a couple of months ago. I wanted only enamel flower brooches and not the cheap rhinestone ones we can buy today. These were popular during the 60s and 70s flower-power era. You know those brooches Emma Pillsbury of Glee likes to wear? Thats it! The quest for blue and green flower brooches led me to collect a several more. Now there’s enough for the entire entourage!

I’m sure my bridesmaids will like their bouquets and there will be some separation anxiety on my part when I give them away. Haha! It was labor of love for me, collecting these little by little. When they arrive in the mail my mom and I enjoyed unwrapping the packages. Now that I think I have more than enough for my wedding, I’m done collecting. But I think my mom is even more addicted to the brooches than me. Hehehe.

Also had enough for a black, white, and silver motif bouquet. If my cousin's winter wedding pushes through, she can use this for her bouquet.

Hi I love your brooch bouquet. Have you created the black, white and silver bouquet already?

is there by any chance that you could rent it out or sell?

    Thanks
    Aileen

So why should you choose a scissor lift in the first place.
You wilkl be covered by insurance if your boom
lift breaks down. You should always discus the terms inn
advgance and know what yrr contract allows you to do.
